Enabling artificial intelligence through advanced manufacturing solutions
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the world around us, but the race to an AI-powered future depends on robust, scalable infrastructure that can handle intensive computing power and massive amounts of data.
At AMETEK, we’re helping to unlock AI’s full potential through the design and manufacturing of differentiated, highly engineered infrastructure for a wide range of applications.
High-tech systems for harsh environments
For most people, working remotely means firing up your laptop from your home office. For AMETEK’s Abaco Systems customers, remote work involves high-tech, embedded systems with cutting-edge computing power designed for the world’s most inaccessible locations on land, at sea, in the air, or beyond.
Recently awarded Best Overall Design by Siemens in the Xcelerator Technology Innovation Awards, Abaco’s HPC2812 high performance embedded computing systems handles massive amounts of data and deep learning acceleration to support artificial intelligence capabilities like image recognition, signal analysis, and autonomous decision-making. These mission-critical embedded computing systems bring the latest technology to the harshest environments so that where you work doesn’t limit how you work.
Seeing is believing
AI capabilities like vision processing, pattern recognition and language processing are allowing for more customization across nearly every industry. As AI-powered applications become more common in our daily lives, it’s equally important to bring those programs to life with customizable, intelligently designed user interfaces. To help bring new ideas to market faster, AMETEK business, Crank, is providing new ways to create sophisticated user experiences that enable AI.
For more than 15 years, Crank’s award-winning Graphic User Interface (GUI) development process has been bringing new innovations to life more quickly and efficiently with intuitive drag-and-drop tools that are also now enabling the AI boom.
One size does not fit all
A helmet is often the only line of defense between cyclists and the road. Traditionally, cyclists choose from a handful of mass-produced helmet sizes that must fit the entire spectrum of head shapes and sizes, creating tradeoffs between safety and comfort. To help create the perfect fit, AMETEK business, Creaform, partnered with German-based software developer, Hyperganic, to 3D print custom helmets using AI.
Using Creaform’s cutting-edge, 3D scanners, the Hyperganic team captured riders’ measurements which were used in AI-optimized design software to design the perfect fit, resulting in a safer, more aerodynamic ride.
By investing in the right infrastructure and partnering with companies like AMETEK, organizations can drive new innovative AI solutions, make fast, data-driven decisions, and gain a competitive advantage in today’s AI-driven world.
