Our History
AMETEK Process Instruments’ origins are unique – formed from several strategic acquisitions to create a world class business.
The company's journey started in 1979 with the acquisition of Thermox Instruments, founding the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania headquarters. This was followed in 1990 by the addition of the moisture and photometric product lines, which established their Newark, Delaware facility. In 1998, the business strengthened its capabilities with the acquisition of Western Research, adding a manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta. In 2004, the product portfolio was further enhanced with specialized analyzers for the semiconductor industry with the addition of the Trace Analytical line.

As the Director of Operations, Alan leads a dedicated team of highly capable and hard-working individuals at Process Instruments’ Newark, DE and Pittsburgh, PA manufacturing sites.
With a close eye on safety, he is committed to empowering his team by removing obstacles, solving problems, and creating an environment where everybody works towards delivering customer orders.
Alan has been part of the team for over five years and understands the demands of a dynamic environment, where a new set of challenges are presented every day.
